Cindy Sanborn Porter, 50, died Sunday, February 12, 2017, in Mobile, Alabama. She was a loyal, loving, kind, thoughtful, stylish, and funny mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend. Above all, she cherished her son, Robert Porter, who turned 13 the day she died. Her love for him resonated in everything she did.A lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama, Cindy graduated from the University of South Alabama and worked as a corporate accountant for 30 years. In her passing, Cindy finds peace and relief from pain. She is survived by her son, Robert James Porter and Robert's father, Russell Porter, parents, John (Helen) Sanborn, siblings, Renee (Shayne) Hennis, Kristi (Michael) Myles and Jackie Lynn (Ray) Clackler, fiance, Mark Mercy, loving maternal figure, Chance Mercy and Samantha Robinson, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17, 2017, at Serenity Funeral Home and Gardens. A visitation at 10:30 a.m. will be followed by a noon graveside service.
