CHARLES E. WHITE's Obituary
JONES COUNTY, GA –
Charles E. White, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, Memorial Day, May 30, 2022, at his residence with his loving family by his side. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m., and the Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Elder Franklin Bryant, Elder Dan Bryant, and Elder Wesley Watkins will officiate.
Mr. White was born and raised in Houston County and was the son of the late Robert L. and Charlotte Brown White. He was a 1955 graduate of Perry High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was stationed on the USS Cadmus. Mr. White was retired from Civil Service where he worked in the Avionics Division at Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Beaver Creek Primitive Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, and at Caney Creek Primitive Baptist Church. You could find Mr. White either fishing or hunting in his spare time. Additionally, he enjoyed woodworking where he handcrafted many items for family members, and even built deer stands from time to time.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Collins White; his siblings, Bobby White and Margaret Dow; and his son, Scott White.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Charles are his wife of 17 years, Ruby M. White of Jones County; his children, Jeff White (Terri) of Highland Village, TX, Marlene Still, Kathy Moore, and Steve Maddox, all of Jones County, GA; his grandchildren, Ben White (Katie) of Highland Village, TX, and Heather Wingo (Robert) of Hayden, AL; his great-grandchildren, Jordon Schneider and Rachel Schneider, both of Highland Village, TX, and Skylar Wingo of Hayden, AL; his sister, Lucy Williams of Greenville, S.C; and several nieces and nephews.
