Reverend Charles D. Lamb's Obituary
PERRY-
Reverend Charles D. Lamb, passed away peacefully at his hunting lodge in Abbeville, Georgia, on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the age of 84. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Freepoint Church (Perry Church of God). Burial will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 7, 2013, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home.
Reverend Lamb was born in Worth County to the late Rufus Lamb and Lois Jeters Lamb. He believed in the power of the Lord. He loved his church, and his life was based on Biblical principals. Brother Lamb pastored the Perry Church of God for 30 years. He loved being in the great outdoors and spent a lot of time at their hunting lodge, where he enjoyed working with his cows. Reverend Lamb thoroughly enjoyed being around people, his loving family, and his friends, and will be dearly missed by all of them. Truly a hardworker, he was a self-employed salesman. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Danny Lamb and Keith Lamb.
Left to cherish his memories are his devoted wife of 65 years, Carolyn McDonald Lamb of Perry; his daughters and their husbands, Patsy Allen and Leon of Perry, Dianne Lee and Doug of Perry; his brother, Richard Lamb, and his sister, Bobbie Smith, both of Texarkana, Arkansas; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
