Charles Dave Johnson's Obituary
Charles, age 83, a resident of Coden, AL went home to be with our Lord Wednesday, November 11, 2015. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a lifelong oyster man over 30 years. He raised 7 children and was a wonderful man and very strong father figure. He was loved by all who knew him. He loved his Lord and Savior and served him everyday. Very loved in his community as he had a heart of gold. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lilly Rose Collier Johnson, son, Charles D. Johnson Jr., granddaughter, Lilly Kay and many other loved ones gone on before him. He left behind his children, Peggy, Richard (Melonie), Harry (Tammy), Nancy (Mason), James (Melissa) and Betty Mae (David), grandchildren, Tina, Jennifer (Andy), Wendy (Mark), Linda Rose (D.J.), Ricky (Lisa), Chelsea, Kellie, Michele (Wade), Jackie (Joey), Jonathan, Travis (Kristy), D.J. (LaWanda) and Angelica, great grandchildren, Wayne, Josh, Wyatt, Sydney, Shad, Justin, David, Daniel, Derek, Dustin, Kaelyn, Sabrina, Brandon, Justin, Troy, Lilly, Dylan, Abigail and Kylie, great great-grandchildren, Easton and Lilly, siblings, Doris (Herb), Lester and Lonnie (Faye), other relatives and many friends. Funeral service will be held at Oddfellow Hall on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 2 pm with visitation starting at 12 noon until service time. Interment will be in Oddfellow Cemetery. A gathering will be at Paw Paw’s house to follow.
