PERRY –
Charles Decker David Doremus, 40, passed away unexpectedly on September 22, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Free Point Church of God with Pastor Bobby Bishop officiating. Interment will be in Magnolia Park Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions for his children, c/o Watson-Hunt Funeral Home, P.O. Box 52, Perry, Georgia 31069.
Charles was born in Lansing, Michigan, and has lived in Georgia for many years. He loved Jesus and was saved at age fifteen while on a youth trip to Panama City Beach, Florida. Charles was an active member of Free Point Church of God. He was very involved in addiction recovery ministry and regularly volunteered at Second Baptist Church’s One Way program and The Assembly at Warner Robins’ Celebrate Recovery. He loved his children and was a devoted husband.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Charles are his loving wife, Ashley Powell Doremus of Perry; his children, Breanna Doremus, Braylon Doremus, and Bryson Doremus; his mom and step-dad, Cheryl and Jim Fox; and his step-children, Aidin Powell, Chandler McCoy, Abigail McCoy, and Riley McCoy.
