Chandlor Allen Whipple's Obituary
PERRY- Chandlor Allen Whipple, 43, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 22, 2018. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., the hour preceding the service on Saturday. Chandlor was born in Warner Robins and grew up in Perry. A former student of The Westfield School, he graduated from Tattnall Square Academy in 1993. He attended Valdosta State College, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order and graduated from Georgia College with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Education. Chandlor was a sheet metal mechanic at Robins Air Force Base for the past 12 years. He spent much of his life outdoors, which he loved to do. As a youth, his sport was skateboarding. Through the years, he always enjoyed fishing and hunting and especially cherished the times hiking with his mother. Chandlor loved music, and at the age of 13, he began taking guitar lessons. He owned a variety of electric guitars and enjoyed playing when he could. Chandlor was recently baptized and joined First Baptist Church of Perry. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Aubrey and Velma Fallin; his paternal grandparents, Allen P. and Elinor Whipple; and his aunt, Laura Whipple Sykes. Left to cherish the memories of Chandlor are his mother, Linda Whipple of Milledgeville; his father, Allen M. Whipple, Sr.; his brothers, Taylor Whipple of Milledgeville and Metts Whipple of Atlanta; a nephew, Whip Whipple of Milledgeville; special extended family members, Fielding and Harriett Whipple of Milledgeville; several cousins; and his faithful companions, “Alley” the cat and “Tug” the dog.
