Cecile Trosclair Kelly's Obituary
Cecile Trosclair Kelly was born July 24, 1936 in Mobile, Alabama to George Irvin and Wilhemina Johnson Trosclair. Cecile passed away at her home in Citronelle, Alabama on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, George, Wilhemina, and Velma Trosclair, her sister, Rachel Trosclair Curran, granddaughters, Gwen and Kandida, and her stepdaughters, Deborah and Sharon. She leaves behind her husband of thirty-four years, Robert Mitchell Kelly Sr., three daughters, Susan Poiroux Willard Ray (Brad), Joyce Poiroux Worrell (Bubba), Tanya Poiroux Jones (Barney) and one son, David Poiroux (Jane), two stepdaughters, Deanne Brumfield and Michelle Turner and one stepson, Robert Mitchell Kelly Jr., one sister, Marie Trosclair Johnson (Bert) and two brothers, Paul A Trosclair Sr. (Suzie) and Michael A Trosclair Sr. (Brenda) as well as twenty-four grandchildren, fifty-five great grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild and numerous family and friends.Cecile was a native of Heron Bay, Alabama and worked as a seamstress at Vanity Fair-Lee Company until she retired. Cecile was a loving, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and was known to most as Mawmaw Kelly or Mawmaw River. She was a die hard football fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Her favorite pastime was crabbing and fishing, but most importantly she loved her family.Family and friends will gather to hold funeral services to celebrate Cecile's life with visitation beginning Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 2:00 pm until 5:00pm. The funeral will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 with viewing at 9:00am and services at 10:00am at Serenity Funeral Home, 8691 Old Pascagoula Rd, Theodore, AL 36582. The service will be officiated by her brother, Rev. Michael A. Trosclair Sr.Immediately following the funeral services, family and friends are invited to Fowl River Community Center for food and fellowship.
