CATHY ANN TAYLOR's Obituary
PERRY –
Cathy Ann Taylor, 60, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2023. Family and friends are invited to Celebrate Cathy’s Life on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at their home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to FOPAS – Friends of Perry Animal Shelter, 204 Kellwood Drive, Perry, GA 31069.
Cathy was born in Davenport, Iowa, grew up in Florida, and graduated from South Plantation High School in Plantation, Florida. She married the love of her life, Bob Taylor, and the couple moved to Perry, Georgia, in 1980. Cathy was a professionally accredited and licensed Enrolled Agent for Taxes. She worked for H&R Block for over twenty years and for Better Income Tax for twelve years and regularly contacted the Internal Revenue Service. Cathy was very organized, knew all the tax rules, and enjoyed advocating for the taxpayers. Her passion in life was her family. She spent as much time as possible with her grandchildren because she knew it was limited. Cathy courageously battled cancer for over five years with her devoted family by her side.
Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Jim Cloudas, and her sister, Debbie VanHorn.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Cathy are her loving and faithful husband of forty-three years, Robert “Bob” Taylor; her daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and William Roark of Washington, Michigan, and Samantha and William Bell of Perry; her grandchildren, Kennedy Roark, Celina Muriel, Olivia Muriel, Jackson Bell, and Reagan Bell; her mother, Mary Jo Herman of Perry; her brothers, Mike Cloudas of Plantation, Florida, and Jimmy Cloudas of Hawkinsville; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved chihuahua of over ten years, “Missy.”
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
