CAROL L. HILL's Obituary
PERRY –
Carol Lee Hodgkins Hill, 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2025. The family will gather to receive family and friends at a service on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home.
Carol was born in Rockland, Maine, to the late Newell and Gloria Carolyn Studley Hodgkins. She grew up in Rockland, Maine, graduated from high school, and sometime later moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She met and married her husband, George, while living there and working as a medical assistant. The couple moved to Perry, Georgia, soon after they were married. Carol was a homemaker all of her life, always striving to create a loving and encouraging environment for her family. She worked alongside her husband at Green Magic Lawn, their lawncare business, assisting with accounts and paperwork when needed. Carol dearly loved her family. Keeping her grandchildren gave her great joy and was one of her favorite things to do.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Stephen Hodgkins and Donnie Hodgkins; her daughter, Karen Heiselman; and grandson, Joshua Hill.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Carol are her loving and devoted husband of forty-three years, George Hill of Perry; her children, Lee Heiselman of North Carolina, George “Duane” Hill (Jonna) of Lexington, Kentucky, and Shane Hill of Lexington, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her sister, Margaret Burgess; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
