CAREY EUGENE CANSLER's Obituary
In this poignant moment, we gather to honor the life of Carey Eugene Cansler, whose journey began on November 30, 1973, in Perry. With a profound intelligence and an ever-curious mind, Carey crafted a life that was both rich in knowledge and deep in love. Carey left us far too soon on February 1, 2025, at the age of 51. Though his physical presence is now a cherished memory, his impact echoes deeply within all who knew him.
With marriage to Michelle Woods, Carey found a partner in life and adventure, together fostering a nurturing home that welcomed their children: Kari, Ryan, and Shayne. Carey’s later years blessed him with the joy of a daughter named Brooklyn, a gleaming testament to his ever-expanding heart. His family was truly his masterpiece, each child exempting a piece of his heart.
Carey’s intelligence was evident in everything he pursued, whether designing custom computers with passion and precision or engaging in lively conversations about music and movies—a true connoisseur of life's varied tracks and tales. His step into a career as an electrician allowed him to utilize his keen intellect in ways that continuously challenged and fulfilled him. For over two decades, his skilled hands and sharp mind contributed immensely to his community—a testament to his unyielding work ethic and his commitment to excellence.
We mourn alongside Carey’s sister, Leighanne Bonner, and his dedicated children, who survive him. His beloved mother, Kerry Mason, preceded him in death, and they are now reunited in peace. Memories of Carey’s vibrant spirit will forever live on in the hearts of family and friends, who cherish the laughter and love he so generously shared.
We invite you to gather with us March 1st, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., at Watson-Hunt funeral home for a visitation and memorial service. Let us come together to share in the stories, the laughter, and the tears, honoring Carey’s life by remembering all that we loved about him. Though we say goodbye for now, let us carry Carey with us in our hearts and memories, allowing his spirit to guide us in the days ahead.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
