Calvin Middlebrooks' Obituary
PERRY-Calvin Middlebrooks, 70, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Church in Perry. Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 12, 2015, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. The family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Beaver Creek Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Charles White, 111 Glen Oaks Road, Perry, GA 31069. Mr. Middlebrooks was born in Perry on September 16, 1945, the son of the late James Paul Middlebrooks and Mary Alice Hunt Middlebrooks Pierce. He graduated from Perry High School, Young Harris College, and Georgia Southern College. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army Reserves as a paratrooper. During his 36-year career with GA Power Company, he worked in Engineering. He was McRae District Engineering Supervisor and Dublin District Power Delivery Manager. Mr. Middlebrooks was a faithful member of Beaver Creek Primitive Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and church clerk. He was a member of the Perry Exchange Club. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Middlebrooks and Franklin Middlebrooks, and an infant son, Daniel Andrew Middlebrooks. Calvin was a kind, Christian man who loved his church, his family, and his friends. Left to cherish the memories of Calvin are his loving wife of 47 years, Paula Langford Middlebrooks; two daughters, Anna Westberry (Alex) and Kathryn Middlebrooks; two grandchildren, Andrew Westberry and Elizabeth Ann Westberry.
