Life Legacy
PERRY-Bruce V. Westbrook passed away on Monday, March 22, 2016, just one day before his 86th birthday. Visitation will be on Friday, March 25, 2016, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. O. Box 1613, McDonough, GA 30253.Mr. Westbrook was born in Atlanta to the late H.M. and Emily Culpepper Westbrook. A graduate of Russell High School in East Point, he earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. Mr. Westbrook proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. For 30 years, he was an Insurance Salesman with Prudential Insurance Company. He moved to Perry in 2000, where he would live and work alongside his son in the family business, Coast to Coast Medical Transports, until 2015, when he relocated to Hampton, GA, to be near his daughter. Mr. Westbrook was a true family man, spending time with them and vacationing with them any chance he got. He enjoyed gardening, especially raising his roses, and growing gourds to fulfill his hobby of cleaning and painting them for family and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Cooley Westbrook, and a sister, Sylvia Stovall.Left to cherish the memories of Mr. Westbrook are his daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Kenny Upchurch of Hampton; his son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Peggy Westbrook of Perry; a sister, Charlotte Lane of Atlanta; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
