PERRY –
Brian Edward Waldroup, 45, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 18, 2023. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Warner Robins. Brian loved his family dearly. He was a stay-at-home dad to his children through their teenage years, and he adored every second with them. He was affectionately known as a “mama’s boy” by all his siblings. Brian enjoyed sharing his passion for basketball, Georgia Bulldog Football, and music with those close to him. He spent time with his grandson, coaching and playing basketball. Brian enjoyed attending concerts with his wife. He will be dearly remembered by his family as a loving and caring “gentle giant with a heart twice the size of himself.”
Brian was predeceased by his father, James Douglas “Doug” Ivey.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Brian are his mother, Connie Ivey of Pinopolis, South Carolina; his wife/“Queen,” Wendy Waldroup; his children, Kayla Cumbie (Keith) of Fort Valley, and Anthony Lyons and Brendan Lyons, both of Covington; his grandson, Rurik Cumbie; his sisters, Amy Barnhardt (Brian) of Mansfield, and Lesley Gentry (Jason) of Cumming; his nieces and nephews, Banner Barnhardt, Abigail and Isla Gentry; and many aunts, uncles, and other cousins.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
