Billy 'BJ' Jack Williams' Obituary
Billy Jack “BJ” Williams, 70, of Perry, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. At this time no funeral arrangements have been made, since prior to his death, BJ made a selfless sacrifice to donate his body to Science. A graveside service may be scheduled at a much later date in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Francis, Oklahoma.BJ was born in Houston, Texas on April 3, 1948, to the late William Carl and Jacqueline Hill Williams. His early school years were spent Electra, Texas before he relocated to Healdton, Oklahoma. He graduated from Healdton High School and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Arts from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. BJ worked at Getty Oil/Texaco for nineteen years taking care of gas and oil wells. During that time, he was one of the first employees to learn how to use a computer for business purposes. He was also fortunate to work for the Department of Energy as a carpenter and they used the projects he created for their testing purposes. Billy worked at Innovative Technology for seventeen years before he retired. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. In his retirement years BJ enjoyed spending time with his family, woodworking, tending to his cattle, and working on his 1929 Ford Model A Coupe. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant son, Scott Shea Williams, and his sister, Connie Sue Gray. Left to cherish the memories they shared with BJ are his loving and devoted wife of nearly fifty years, Donna Sue Norman Williams; a son, Zackery Williams (Lisa) of Kathleen; grand-daughter’s, Ava Williams and Naomi Williams; step grand-sons, Lewis Rostron and Jason Rostron; a step great grand-daughter, Allie Rostron; and his brother, Dan Williams (Jean) of Rush Springs, Oklahoma.Condolences for the family may be left in our online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
