Beverly Mallon Taylor's Obituary
Age 86, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016. She was a member of the first Girl Scout Troup that was organized in Pascagoula, MS., played clarinet in the Pascagoula High School Band for 7 years and played the alto saxophone in the orchestra for 3 years. She attended a band clinic for a week at the University of Mississippi. She also played basketball. She was a member of a local Mardi Gras group serving as an emblem and she and her husband were king and queen of another organization. She also helped form the Teen Society and served on the Adult Board. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 1/2 years, Lester “Lip” Taylor, parents, Capt. John H. Mallon Jr. and Lucille Simms Mallon Connick, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Simms, Capt John H. Mallon Sr. and Rachel Eldora Previto Mallon, step father, John “Jay” P. Connick. She is survived by her children, Deborah T. Cook, Michael (Cecilia Richards) Taylor, Sharon T. Maruk (Len), grandchildren, Angela C. (Doug) Nettles, Mark G. Cook Jr., Amber T. (Cody) Frye, Elizabeth I. (Cory Bruhl) Taylor, Laura (Chris) Roske, Kyle Burns, great grandchildren, Kelton Shirley, Dylan Cook, Madison Landcaster, Payton Lancaster, Logan Frye, Isabella Frye, Bayleigh Frye, Joshua Burns, Bradle Roske, Tristan Nettles, Samantha Nettles, Abby and Zoey (Twins) and many relatives in Pascagoula , MS.Pallbearers will be: Gus Gary, Bill Murph, Ray Hall, Doug Nettles, Glen Daniels, Mark cook, Dr. Christopher Patton and Bill Genz. Honorary Pallbearers will be : Rev, Wayne Dean, Sr., Ron Brown, Jack Huff, Raymond Norman, Mike Sheffield, the Emblems of The Order of Athena, Ole Miss football team and Deuce McAlister and Coach Hugh Freeze. Funeral service will be held from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 12 noon. Visitation will be 10am until service time Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
