Life Legacy
PERRY-Betty Gray Talton, 87, beloved wife, mother, "Momma T," sister, aunt, friend, and truly unique individual, met her Lord and her family in heaven the evening of May 29, 2017, after a brief illness. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will be at 2704 Highway 127 in Kathleen on Wednesday and Thursday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to First Love Ministries, 936 Carroll Street, Perry, GA 31069. Betty's sons, Robert Talton (Karen), Kathleen, and Rick Talton (Penny), Macon; her beloved grandsons, Gray Talton and Griffin Cleveland; her sister, Hilda Walker of Perry; her step-son, Ben Talton (Gail), Slidell LA; and many well-loved nieces, nephews, and friends survive to cherish her memory. She was welcomed to her heavenly home by her precious husband, Benjamin Cullen Talton, and her parents, Charles P. Gray and Hazel Nichols Gray. Her sister, Virginia Mason, who departed this earth one year to the day before Betty, her sister Helen Parker, and her three brothers-in-law were also there to enthusiastically welcome her home. Betty and her life-long friend, Lula Batchelor, will continue their adventures with only a short interruption.It was Betty's wish that those attending her funeral would dress to feel casual and comfortable, as she always preferred.
