Betty Davies' Obituary

Betty Davies, 94, died Saturday April 13, 2013. A Memorial Service will be conducted at St. John's Episcopal Church in Naples, FL, later in the year, tentatively scheduled for December 21, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Animal Humane Society.
Betty was born December 1, 1918, in Pittsburg, PA. She was the youngest of the family, having three older brothers and an older sister. She met and later married George Davies on December 31, 1940. With the outbreak of WWII, George's Air Corp assignments led to a move to Springfield, Ohio. They liked the area and decided to live there until George's retirement from the Ohio Edison in 1969. After a brief retirement to Williamsburg, VA, George and Betty moved to Naples, FL, in 1980 to be close to their daughter. In 2005 Betty moved to Kathleen, GA, to live with her daughter, Mary, and family.
Betty is survived by her children, George Davies, Jr. of Naples FL, Martha Davies Stranger of Cape Cod, MA, and Mary Davies Addison and her husband, William, of Kathleen, GA. Betty is also survived by four grandchildren, Keith and Kevin Stranger, and Jerry and Molly Addison.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband George Davies, Sr, in September of 1993, and Barbara Davies, her oldest daughter, in January of 1999.
