Betty A. Jackson Sullivan, 82, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the Heart of Georgia Hospice Care Unit. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Snow United Methodist Church Cemetery in Dooly County. A visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Street, Greenville, S.C. 29605. Mrs. Sullivan was born in Macon County and was the daughter of the late Clifford D. and Christine Newberry Jackson. She had lived in Perry for over 35 years and was the Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Sullivan loved to volunteer her time to help the Masons and Shriners in charity events to raise money to support Shriner's Hospitals and the Children's Home in Macon. She was a loving mother and caregiver to Crystal L. Brady.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Danny Beavers of Byron and Crystal Brady of Perry; siblings, Charles D. Jackson of Warner Robins, John Wesley Jackson of Olympia, Washington, and Bernice Miller of Milledgeville; three grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray Sullivan, who died on February 21 of this year. Friends are invited to leave condolences in the online guestbook at watsonhunt.com
