Bettie was born on June 9, 1940, in Crestview, Florida to James Eben Weekley and Memphis Haskell Weekley. After she graduated Crestview Senior High School, she married her loving husband, William Jack Caldwell. Together, they had seven children whom they loved dearly. They moved from Enterprise, Alabama to Perry in 1974 where William worked at Robins Airforce Base and Bettie worked as a receptionist for doctors in the area including Dr. Bell and Dr. Dixon.
In her spare time, Bettie loved cheering for her beloved Georgia Bulldogs. She was often seen wearing red in their honor. She was also very involved at her church home of Crosspoint Baptist Church. There she was involved in the Joyful Seniors Sunday school class and attended many 55+ events as well. She was always spending time with her family, and her electric presence during Georgia Football games will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are children, Debbie Brown (John) of Perry, GA; Doug Caldwell of Perry, GA; Denise Woodard of Perry, GA; Deanna Reese ( Randy) of Haddock, GA; Diane Hardy of Perry, GA; Daphne Alimi (Emmanuel) of Ellenwood, GA; her siblings, Mary Jane Stewart of Crestview, FL; Charlotte Burns of Sunset, UT; Jerry Weekley (Brenda) of Crestview, FL; Lynda Sue Holt of Crestview, FL; her grandchildren, Lindsay Pleakis (Jason); Brad Woodard (Tara); Bryan Woodard; Jared Hardy (Kayla), Jeremy Reese; Beth Palmer (Paul); Abi Alimi; Malik Alimi; Justin Lister; and 6 great grandchildren with one on the way.
