Benjamin Bronson 'Bronnie' Stubbs' Obituary
Benjamin Bronson “Bronnie” Stubbs passed away on March 8, 2018, at the age of 66. The family will visit with friends on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. A brief memorial service will be held immediately following, at 3:00 p.m. Bronnie was born in Quitman, Georgia. He graduated from Perry High School in 1969 and went on to graduate from The University of Georgia with a degree in Mathematics. He endured a lifelong illness but managed a successful career as an engineer with Civil Service in the Electronic Warfare Program at Robins Air Force Base. He pursued a number of hobbies including sky diving, target shooting, and gardening. Bronnie was determined to overcome his illness and was one of the longest surviving dialysis patients in the country. Bronnie will be remembered by his family for his wealth of knowledge and near absolute recall. He never met a stranger. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Helma Stubbs; his parents, Jimmy and Marian Stubbs; his brothers, Steve Stubbs, Allen Stubbs, and Wayne Stubbs; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
