Visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., and the funeral will begin at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. Born on April 26, 1985, in Macon, Georgia, Ben grew up in the heart of the state he loved. He graduated from Perry High School with the Class of 2003 and went on to attend Central Georgia Technical School. A hard worker, Ben built his own business from the ground up as the proud owner of Reliance Lawn Services. Through his landscape business, he served his community with dedication and pride. Ben was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting and fishing. He was a passionate fan of Georgia Bulldog football. He also followed NASCAR closely and was a devoted fan of Dale Earnhardt. Those who knew Ben remember him for his infectious smile and generous spirit. He never met a stranger and had a heart that always looked out for others before himself. Whether lending a hand or sharing a laugh, Ben brought warmth and kindness wherever he went. His love for life was evident in everything he did.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Ben are his wife of nearly fifteen years, Nicole Martin of Elko; his children, Caylee Martin and Jacob Martin, both of Elko; his mother, Vickie Leech (Dal) of Perry; his father, Glynn Martin of Elko; his siblings, Taylor Martin of Elko, Tanner Martin, of Bradenton, Florida, Jeremy Leech (Chasity) of McDonough, and Janna Leech of Denver, Colorado; his special grandmother to whom he lovingly referred as “Gong-Gong,” Betty Collins of Louisville; several nieces and nephews; and his parents-in-law, Mike and Sandi Thompson of Statesboro.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
