Barbara Jean McCabe Addiss' Obituary
Barbara "Bobbie" Jean McCabe Addiss, born April 21, 1943, passed away on Tuesday March 22, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Hazel McCabe.Barbara was the beloved wife of 53 years to Jimmy Addiss. She is survived by her children: Lisa (Donnie) Wohlschlegel, Angela (Rusty) Luse, Juddy (Madelyn) Addiss and Chris (Julie) Addiss; ten grandchildren: Andrew Wohlschlegel, Amanda Wohlschlegel, Zach Luse, Chad Luse, Delaney Luse, Ashby Addiss, Judson Addiss, Hampton Addiss, Haley Addiss and Reagan Addiss; four great grandchildren: Emma Wohlschlegel, Cammie Wohlschlegel, Adam Tillman and Leah Tillman; One sister, Jeanette Hall and two brothers: Thomas McCabe and Pat McCabe. Mrs. Addiss was a 1961 graduate of Bishop Toolen Catholic High School and retired from the Mobile County Sheriff’s office. She was the most generous, kind, loving and sharing person who will be missed by all. Special thanks and appreciation to her most caring niece, Kimberly Austin. Pallbearers will be Donnie Wohlschlegel, Rusty Luse, Andrew Wohlschlegel, Zach Luse, Chad Luse, and Hampton Addiss. Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 2 pm with visitation starting at 12:30 pm until service time. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to St. Pius Catholic Church, 217 S. Sage Ave., Mobile, AL 36606.
