BARBARA DAVIS's Obituary
PERRY –
Barbara Jean Middlebrooks Davis, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 30, 2022. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held on the same day at 2:00 p.m. in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery, 1115 N. County Line Road, Unadilla, GA 31091.
Barbara graduated from Macon County High School. She was a long-time member of County Line Baptist Church in Dooly County. She lived in Perry, worked as a Drape Inspector for Kellwood, and retired with nearly thirty years of service when the factory closed. Barbara loved being outdoors when she wasn’t working, and enjoyed fishing whenever she could. She accepted a position with Dollar General and worked at the location on Main Street in Perry for over ten years. She had attended The Way Baptist Church in Perry for several years.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, James Washington Middlebrooks and Margaret Lilly Raper Middlebrooks; her daughter, Cindy M. Sharpton; her sister, Doris Ann Beavers; and her brothers, Willie E. Middlebrooks and Jimmy Middlebrooks.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Barbara are her loving and devoted husband of sixty-six years, Ed Davis of Perry; her son and daughter-in-law, Davy and Donita Davis of Perry; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sisters, Lillian Gresham of Byromville, and Gail Singleton (Leroy) of Perry; her brothers, Danny Middlebrooks (Elaine) of Perry, and Larry Middlebrooks (Rebecca) of Montezuma; and a host of nieces and nephews.
