Audrey Lynn Jaquay, age 63, a resident of Mobile, AL passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015. She is survived her husband, Donald Jaquay, other family and friends. Audrey was one of seven siblings:Bonnie (Jerome) Guy, Luther Lawrence, Jackie (Cary) Patronas, Carolyn (Pat) Day, Doree Mayfield and Roxanne Hamilton. As a child, she loved swimming and became a Life Guard at Prichard Park. She graduated from C.F. Vigor High school in 1970. She went to Atlantic Airline School, trained to be an Airline Stewardess. She turned down a job in New York City to marry the “Love of her Life”. They were married for 44 years.She worked for the IRS in Kansas City. They started a family while in Kansas City, and returned to Mobile, Al in 1978. She worked for Loyal American Life Insurance for several years before continuing her education at Springhill College, where she obtained her BA specializing in Accounting. She worked for Professional Bookkeeping, and Clay, Massey & Associates as well as having her own personal Accounting Business.She loved sharing her political side with her brother in law Jake Jaquay and others.She had a love for reading and a love for sharing her “intellectual side” with everyone, Especially, with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She taught all that visited her how to use computers and gadgets and any kind of learning tool to instill in them a drive and desire for learning and furthering their own education. Her “Wall of Fame” as she described it, was wall to wall pictures of the nieces and nephews she loved so much: Tony (Laura) Guy, Stephanie (Charles) Chitwood, Brent (Danielle) Guy, Luke Lawrence, Blake Lawrence, Katherine Lawrence, Conner Lawrence, Michelle (David) Nolan, Chad (Thell) Patronas, Byron Day, Amy Day, Lee Day, Lance Mayfield. Kelly Mayfield, Brock Mayfield, Rachael Hamilton, Lonnie Jaquay, Vincent Jaquay, Kelly Jaquay (Tom) HuffGreat nieces and nephews: Alex, Awstin, Chase, Colbe, Brentley, Alex, Nathaniel, Landon, Elijah, Ayden, Zephyr, Austin, Kingston, Bentley, Bella, Ava, Cash, Braxton, TylerShe was a life long member of Christian Fellowship Church in Chickasaw. (58 years) The people of CFC were not only a “church” family to her, but it was there she received the Christian influence and Godly insight that shaped and molded so much of her life making her the person she was.Audrey lived a very “full” life. And that is the life we can celebrate and remember. She was a kind, loving, and giving person. God was so gracious to “take her gently”.
