This man lived for his family especially his grandsons. I know one thing for sure they caught a lot of fish together. Their papa might have left this earth but these boys will always feel his presence when they are out on the water..July 13, 2016, Arthur Amelia Gray Jr. passed with his family by his side. Arthur was a retiree of the Terminal Railroad where he spent 35 years. He started out on the chain gang laying track eventually working his way up to Yard Master. Arthur was a hard worker, being at the railroad or out on the water fishing, shrimping, and catching oysters. Arthur was an avid outdoors man, loved the water. Arthur was the epitome of the term "Salt Life". He loved life, his wife, family, friends, and especially his grandsons. He is preceded in death by his father Arthur Amelia Gray Sr. He is survived in life by his wife Ruthy Cochran Gray; Sons Chad & Lisa Gray, Mitch & Keo Gray, and Mark Gray; grandsons Matthew Gray, Cody Gray, Evan Gray, and Ian Gray; mother Mazie Gray; brothers Aubrey and Michael Gray; stepchildren Kevin and Christy.Services will be held Monday July 18, 2016 at Serenity Funeral Home.Service Schedule:Private Family visitation 8 am - 9 amFriends and family visitation 9 am - 11:30 amChapel Memorial at 12 pm with graveside service following at Magnolia Springs cemetery located at 6058 Theodore Dawes Rd. Theodore, Al.Reception will be held at Heron Bay Baptist Church following funeral. Friends and family are welcomed to drop off food after 10 am Monday morning at the church's reception hall.me, Theodore, AL.
