PERRY –
Anthony Nelson, 34, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 24, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at the home of his mother, 106 Hay Road, in Perry. The family will visit with friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Waypoint Ministries, 129 Center Point Drive, Dahlonega, GA 30533.
Anthony was in the construction business most of his life and served in various capacities as needed through the years. He loved the outdoors, and when he had time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. His family and friends knew of the cruel battles Anthony fought, but cling to the memories of his baptism when he gave his heart to the Lord and know that we, as believers in Christ, will see him again.
Anthony was preceded in death by his sister, Gina Bug Causey.
Survivors include his mother, Marie Dennard Mizell (James Hair) of Perry; his sister, Skylar “Wody” Mizell of Augusta; his daughters, Sawyer and Izzie; his maternal grandmother, Eva Mae Dennard of Unadilla; and his father, Paul Nelson (Miranda) and children of Kathleen.
