Anne Stanley Wilson's Obituary

Anne Stanley Wilson went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2012. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Perry with visitation scheduled one hour before services at 10:00 a.m. Burial service will be private. Contributions in memory of Anne Stanley Wilson may be made to Bill Glass Prison Ministries, 1101 South Cedar Ridge Drive, Duncanville, TX 75137 OR First Baptist Church of Perry, 1105 Main Street, Perry, GA 31069.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Opp, Alabama, to the late Mae Maddox Stanley and Buck Stanley. Anne grew up in Marshallville, Georgia, and graduated from Fort Valley High School. She attended North Georgia College and Mercer University where she was a proud member of Alpha Delta Pi. She was retired from Wilson Furniture Galleries in Fort Valley and Stanley Furniture in Perry. She was an accomplished Interior Decorator and loved helping people decorate their homes. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Perry. Anne's greatest love was her family. She was "Grandma" to her grandchildren and spent many hours praying for her family.
Left to cherish the memories are her loving and devoted husband of sixty years, Emory Wilson of Perry; daughter, Patty Wilson Greene (Ernest, Sr.) of Perry, sons Stan Wilson (Jill) of Milledgeville and Bucky Wilson (Juanita) of Perry; his grandchildren, Anna Greene Stanley (Hunter) of Birmingham, AL, Ernest Greene, Jr. (Blair) of Athens, Kate Greene of Nashville, TN, Adam Wilson (Jaclyn), Liza Wilson and David Wilson, all of Milledgeville, Shelby and Maci Anne Wilson of Perry; one great grandchild, Alex Stanley; a brother, Ronnie Stanley (Sally) of Perry; sister-in-law, Tot Martin of Fort Valley; and many special neices and nephews.
The family would like to recognize Mrs. Gladys Alexander and Summerhill Senior Living and thank them for the care they gave Anne during her last years.
