Anne Ryan Staebell's Obituary
Anne Ryan Staebell, age 91, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014. Mrs. Staebell shared a 21 year military career in the USAF with her husband while he served his tour of duties during WWII and living among places in Okinawa, Japan and Paris France while raising 2 daughters. She moved to Mobile with her family in 1963 and opened Allstate Fun Center on DIP. She also organized and managed the Ryan Reunion for 27 years for her 7 siblings and their families. Mrs. Staebell was a longtime member and Elder of Central Presbyterian Church and a 4 year resident of Somerby of Mobile where she made many life-long friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, E. Frank Staebell, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Dianne Staebell (Lyn Free) Trahan, Lora Jane (Benny) Howard, grandchildren, Sheri (Chris) Challender, Denise Trahan, Lori (Tommy) Powell, Brandie (Scott) Hopkins, Kallie (Robbie) Currier, Chad (Shelley) Trahan, Timothy (Jennifer) Heathcock, 24 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, sister, Virginia Bushey of Austin, TX, many "Super Great" nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 2 pm with visitation from 12 noon until service time. Interment will follow in Serenity Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be sent to the Salvation Army in Mrs. Staebell's name. Arrangements under the direction of Serenity Funeral Home, Theodore, AL.
