Mrs. Althea Marie Martin's Obituary
In Loving MemoryAlthea Marie Martin,60, passed away on Sept 26, 2015, in Camden, AL. She was the wife of Doug Martin. They shared nine wonderful years together.Marie was born in Mobile, Alabama. She was the daughter of Wilmer James and Mamie Lucille Conway. She attended Mary G. Montgomery High School, Class of 1973. She worked for Ameco and Fluor for over 30 years as a CTA Cordinator.Marie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for how kind and loving she was to everyone that she came into contact with. She loved people and animals alike. Marie is preceeded in death by her mother Mamie Lucille Conway, father Wilmer James Conway, and brother Wilmer Alton Conway. She is survived by husband Doug Martin, sister Helen Snodgrass and sister Cordelia Conway Tew with husband Jerry Tew Sr. Step Children Tim Martin wife Shari Martin, Tina Vega and husband Jose Vega, Lisa Carrino and husband Joel Carrino. Nieces Lorette Jones and husband Joseph Jones their children Destiny (Little Marie) and James Moseley, Lynette Colburn and Mike Colburn their children Jarryd and Jamie Parmer. She had numerus great neices and nephews as well as grandchildren. She is also survived by her fur children Ocscar and Rosie, two miniature dachshunds, and Snow, a white furry cat.The Funeral service will be held on Sept. 29, 2015 at 12PM at Serenity Funeral Home in Theodore, AL followed by graveside service. The visitation will be held on Sept. 28, 2015 from 4-5PM for family and 5-8PM for friends.A Message From HeavenPerhaps you aren't ready yetto have to say good-bye....Perhaps you've thought of thingsyou wish you'd said--well, so have I.For one thing, I'd have told younot to worry about me....I'm with the Lord in Heaven now--you knew that's where I'd be.I'm sorry that you're feeling sad,for I'm so happy now...I've asked the Lord to ease the hurtand comfort you somehow.It's hard at the beginning,but I know you'll make it through...I hope it helps to knowthat I'll be waiting here for you.--Unknown author
