Alfred Staton Bernhardt's Obituary
Alfred Staton Bernhardt, age 85, passed away at a local hospital on January 15, 2017. Alfred was born on April 4, 1931 to Alfred Andrew Bernhardt and Florence Jones Bernhardt in Alabama where he was also raised. He served honorably in the United States Navy for several years before marrying his wife, Nancy, in 1964. They raised a family together as he worked in appliance sales and spent time enjoying his family, gardening and the outdoors. Alfred loved his family very much and was always there for them to show his love and support. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Florence Bernhardt and his wife of 42 year, Nancy. He is survived by his sons, Tommy and Mark, daughter Kathy, and granddaughter Megan, other relatives and many friends. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 20, 2017 at 11:00am in Serenity Memorial Gardens. The procession will line up in front of the Chapel of the Chimes in Serenity Gardens starting at 10:30am. Arrangements under the direction of Serenity Funeral Home, Theodore, AL.
