A.J. Swiney, age 78, a native of Pell City, AL and a longtime resident of Theodore, AL passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Martha Faye Swiney, daughters, Shelia (Randy) Dunnavant, Angela (Doug) Bierdeman, Shannon Lovell-Swiney, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brother, Chester Swiney, sisters, Margie Isbell, Peggy Brown, Mary "Bobbi" Bearden, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 12 noon until 2 pm. Graveside service will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 2 pm.
