    HYNDALL HINES PEAVY

    May 30, 1942 - May 9, 2021

    HAYNESVILLE – Hyndall H. Peavy, 78, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Sunday, May 9, 2021, after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Haynesville with Reverend David Fisher and William Hurst officiating. A visitation to express love and support for his family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the cemetery at First Baptist Church of Haynesville immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions in Hyndall’s honor to First Baptist Church of Haynesville 2953 US Hwy 341 S, Hawkinsville, GA 31036. Hyndall was born in Dooly County, Georgia, to the late Luther Jennings Peavy and Myrtle Naomi Bryant Peavy. After high school, he married the love of his life, Bernice Gennell Fowler. He proudly served our country in the U. S. Air Force, serving in various locations, including Lackland, Seymore Johnson, Moody, Eglin, Los Angeles, and Robins Air Force Bases in the United States, as well as at Okinawa and Thailand, during the Vietnam War. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War. Hyndall was an active member of First Baptist Church of Haynesville, serving as a deacon, and was a member of the AAA Sunday school class. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Woodworking was his hobby, and he made many beautiful pieces. Left to cherish the memories they made with Hyndall are his loving and devoted wife of sixty-five years, Bernice Fowler Peavy; his children Cynthia Gennell Peavy Anglin (Chris) of Camilla, Ga. and Jeffrey H. Peavy (Summer) of Elko; his grandchildren, Brandi Anglin Byce (Bill), Brooke Anglin Davis (Matt), Bryant Anglin (Rachael), Braden Anglin (Whitney), Mallory Peavy, and Allison Peavy; his great-grandchildren, Braelyn Byce, Hannah Kate Byce, Madison Byce, Avery Grace Byce, Rylee Davis, Drake Davis, Leighton Anglin, and Bristol Anglin; his sister, Lavonia Fowler (Tubby).He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Luther Jennings Peavy Jr., Willie Mae Hood, Wyndall Peavy and Marvin Peavy.
