    BRANDI NICOLE BOORD

    May 14, 1989 - April 2, 2019

Brandi Nicole Boord, 29, the loving daughter of Barbara and Mark Boord, formerly of Fairmont, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2019, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia with her loving family at her side. A memorial service celebrating Brandi’s life will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 208 Langston Road, Perry, Georgia, on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at 1:00 pm. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church. Brandi’s parents ask that you honor her at the memorial service by wearing your most comfortable shoes, shorts, blue jeans, and flip flops. Brandi was a true gift from God who never met a stranger, and inspired everyone she met with her infectious smile. Growing up a child of parents serving full time in the United States military, Brandi developed a passion for traveling, flip flops, and the sea. Hawaii was her favorite spot on earth, and where she spent four wonderful years living, learning the culture, and attending school. Brandi’s other passion was an admiration for her immediate and extended families. She was always willing to spend endless time with family members playing cards, board games, watching movies, or just talking. She was always the score keeper in every game. Brandi was a 2007 graduate of East Fairmont High School in Fairmont, West Virginia. In 2018 she graduated from Penn Foster as a Pharmacy Tech, and was employed by Walgreen’s Pharmacy in Warner Robins, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mark (Babe) Boord, Sr, and Darrell Linden Williams; her great-grandparents, Andrew and Emma Opyoke, and John and Elizabeth Hannah Towles; and her beloved dog, Zoey. Brandi leaves behind her parents Mark and Barbara Boord; two precious grandmothers, Patricia Williams of Kathleen, Georgia, and Shirley Boord of Fairmont, West Virginia; her aunts, Brenda (Bob) Beatty of Ocean View, Delaware, and Belinda (Brad) Eagle of Fairmont, West Virginia; an uncle, Michael (Lynn) Williams of Lexington, South Carolina; and her cousins, Josh and Hannah Neely, Megan and Zach Williams, and Jannie, Emma, and Adam Eagle. Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
