Jenny and Martha, l loved Donnie and enjoyed talking with him…mostly gossiping about all the Perry people we knew. He was a senior when l was a freshman. He told me about living at Lake Joy. I lived on South Lake and his stories were so interesting.

I can only imagine the great stories that are being told and laughs that have been shared up in Heaven since Friday and Mr. Donnie’s passing. My Daddy (Jake McDowell) worked with most of the ones listed at the Highway office for many years and loved them all dearly. I know they are reunited for eternity now and will share lots of stories together once again.

I didn't know Donnie that well in the past but since coming back to GA I got to know him thru my brother and sister in law. We all broke bread together sometimes. He was a funny guy, sweet guy, and we all enjoyed his company when we got together. I'm sorry for his passing away, we have lost a dear friend. But we know he is breaking bread with others now and making them laugh as we did. Rest in Peace, Donnie! U will be missed and we all will see u sooner than we know.
