Ruth McCaskill McCown, 83, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018, after an extended illness. A private interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, February 12, 2018, from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Read Obituary
Ruth was a very special person. I enjoyed knowing her through the years in church and other activities. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Meme, you touched my life in so many ways. You help make me into the man I am today. You taught me so much and most of my fondest memories in life involve you in some way. I'm going to miss you so much much. I know you are happy up in Heaven with Poppy, Theresa, your momma and daddy and Uncle Junior. What a celebration it must be. Our time with Mrs. McCown was brief but her impression on us was permanent. Our thoughts of her always brought a smile. She was a remarkable lady. May our God extend the hand of comfort to the Pierce family.
