Barbara M. Brinson, 73, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014, with her loving family and friends by her side. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Perry. Entombment will be in the Freedom Mausoleum in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the sanctuary at First Baptist Church of Perry. Flowers will be graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Perry, Hope Cancer Ministry, 1105 Main Street, Perry, Georgia 31069.

Mrs. Brinson was born in Carroll County, Georgia, to the late Jesse B. and Mary McIntosh Marlow. A graduate of Fitzgerald High School, she received her R.N. Degree from Macon Hospital. She was a Registered Nurse for many years. Barbara lived a quiet and peaceful life devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren, always realizing that her ultimate love was for Jesus Christ, her Lord and Saviour. Barbara served with her husband in pastoral ministry with the unique gifts of listening and counseling for more than 52 years. She was a devout believer and follower of Jesus Christ, her Lord, and faithfully participated in all of the Senior Adult Sunday School Classes and Senior Adult Ministries at First Baptist Church of Perry. She was preceded in death by her brother, Stuart Marlow.

Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Brinson are her loving husband of 52 years, Reverend Dr. Tracy L. Brinson of Perry; her children, Michelle Riehle (Clayton) of Tifton, and April Croskey (Mike) of Perry; her sister, Charlotte Anderson of Dry Branch, Georgia; her grandchildren who affectionately called her "Grandmother", Robin Riehle, Tina Riehle, Jessie Klein, Bailee Huecker, Mikey Croskey, and Maddie Croskey; one great-grandson, Jayden Riehle; and several nieces and nephews.
